01 · If you post content and want someone else to cut it

Creators

Hiring an editor for the first time, usually with raw footage and a posting schedule.

A $400 orderYou pay
Agreed price$400
Service fee (5%)$20
Charged and held$420
How much does it cost to post a brief?
Nothing. Posting, receiving applications and messaging editors are free. You pay when you hire: the agreed price plus a 5% service fee, charged into escrow.
What should I put in a brief so I get good applicants?
The finished length and aspect ratio, two or three reference videos you like, where the footage lives, how many revisions you expect and your deadline. Briefs with a budget and references get applications from editors who have already done that kind of cut.
How do I send raw footage?
Attach files to the brief or the order, or share a link to your own storage. Everything attached to an order is visible only to you, the editor and platform support if a dispute is opened.
How do I pick between applicants?
Compare the price and delivery date each editor proposed, their samples, and their verified on-time and completion rates. Those rates are computed from real orders. Message a shortlist before hiring if you are unsure.
How do revisions work?
Each order includes the number of revisions you agreed. Leave notes pinned to the exact second in the review room and send them back as a revision; the count is visible to both sides. Extra rounds can be agreed as a change to the order.
What if I do not like the cut?
Request a revision with specific timecoded notes. If the delivery does not match the brief and the editor will not fix it, open a dispute before approving — the money stays frozen until a reviewer decides. See how disputes work.
Do I own the finished video?
Finished deliverables transfer to you when the order is released. If you need the project files too, choose a package that includes them or say so in the brief.
02 · If you cut video and want to be paid for it on time

Editors

Getting the first order, pricing work, and knowing exactly when money arrives.

On a $400 orderYou keep
Agreed price$400
Commission (10%)-$40
Released to your balance$360
Withdrawn, after $1 fee$359
Is it free to join and apply?
Yes. There is no subscription and no fee to apply. The platform takes a 10% commission from orders you complete, and nothing else until you withdraw.
How do I get my first order with no reviews?
Apply to briefs with few applicants, answer the screening questions properly and attach samples that match the brief. A tight delivery date and a clear price matter more than a long pitch. The job board can be sorted by fewest applicants.
When do I actually get paid?
When the client approves, or automatically 5 days after you deliver if they never answer. Released money clears for 5 days, then you can withdraw any amount over $25 for a flat $1.
Should I start before the order is funded?
No. The order shows as held when the client has funded it. Starting before that means working without escrow behind you, and nothing on the trust page protects that work.
The client keeps adding things. What do I do?
Point to the brief. Anything outside it is a change to the order and can be priced as one. If it turns into a dispute, “scope changed after hiring” is one of the reasons the reviewer considers, and the original brief is the record.
How should I price packages?
Price the cut you can repeat reliably, not your best day. The median first-draft turnaround on the platform is 2 days, and clients compare delivery dates side by side, so a realistic date wins more work than an optimistic one.
Can I turn on instant booking?
Yes. With instant book on, clients can buy one of your packages directly without a brief. Only switch it on when you have room — a late instant order still counts against your on-time rate.
03 · If a team is briefing ad variants at volume

Brands

Seats, approvals and billing for a marketing team rather than one person.

Brand workspaceSeats are free
AdminHires and funds
MemberBriefs and notes
ModeratorSigns off before release
BillingInvoices and spend cap
Can several people on our team use one account?
Yes. A brand workspace has seats, each with one role: owner, admin, member, moderator or billing. Seats are free. See what each role can do.
Can legal or brand review approve before anything is paid?
Give reviewers the moderator role. A cut cannot be approved — and escrow cannot release — until a moderator signs it off.
Can we brief many variants at once?
Yes. Brief hooks and formats as one job and track them as a grid of cuts, each with its own review thread and approval.
Can we pay by invoice?
Consolidated invoicing is available on enterprise agreements. Every order is still funded into escrow before work starts; the invoice consolidates how you pay for it. Talk to us.
How do we stop a team overspending?
A billing seat sets a monthly budget for the workspace. A brief that would take the month over it waits for approval before it can be funded.
Can we use editors we already work with?
Invite them to the workspace and hire them on orders. Their work goes through the same review room, escrow and statement as everyone else’s.
04 · For everyone — where the money is at each step

Payments and escrow

How escrow works, refunds, the auto-release rule and what happens when something goes wrong.

The rule that matters most5 days
Delivered, and the client goes quiet?

Escrow releases to the editor 5 days after delivery, exactly as if the client had approved.

What is escrow, in one sentence?
The client’s money is held by the platform from the moment the order is funded until the work is approved, so the editor knows it exists and the client knows it will not move without them.
What exactly is the auto-release rule?
After a delivery the client has 5 days to approve, request a revision or open a dispute. If none of those happens, escrow releases to the editor. Each new delivery starts a fresh 5-day window.
What if the editor disappears mid-order?
Nothing has been released, so the money is still in escrow. Cancel the order or open a dispute for a missed deadline; a full refund includes the 5% service fee. The full process.
What happens to the money during a dispute?
It freezes, along with the auto-release clock. Neither side can approve or cancel until a reviewer records one of three outcomes: release to the editor, refund to the client, or a split.
Are fees refunded if an order is cancelled?
A funded order cancelled before delivery is refunded in full, service fee included. An order that was never funded cost nothing.
Which currency are orders in?
Orders are priced and held in US dollars. Payout methods convert at withdrawal.
05 · Profiles, reviews, data and closing an account

Account and safety

How records are kept honest, and what we do with your information.

Computed, not claimedFrom orders
Editors on the platform64
Average on-time rate91.6%
Orders disputed4.5%
Can anyone leave a review?
Only the other party to a completed order. Reviews are attached to the order they describe, and an editor can reply once.
Can I take a conversation off the platform?
You can, but payments made outside an order have no escrow, no review record and no dispute process.
Who can see my files and messages?
The parties to the order or conversation, and platform support when a dispute is opened. The privacy notice sets out what is collected and why.
Can I close my account?
Yes, from settings — once you have no orders with money held in escrow. Finish, cancel or dispute those first so nobody else’s funds are stranded.
Where are the legal terms?
The terms of service and privacy notice are published as structured templates pending review by counsel, and are marked that way.
Still unsure about the money?

The pricing page has a calculator that uses the same arithmetic as checkout.
